Why are all the companies contracting out jobs in Iraq from Texas, Virgina, and North Carolina?
Q. I wish I could find a list of the home states of the American individuals working for them in Iraq. It looks like these three states are doing well with so many of their citizens working in Iraq. But there are a lot of people from other countries working there too. I've included a link to contractors killed in Iraq. I don't think the list is complete though.

Q. I know for sure there aren't any in Sotuh Texas. The university, club, and high school pools are only 25 mts, to get to the closest olympic size pool that's actually 50 mts people have to cross to Mexico. Pregnant, in Texas, Unpaid Medical Bills, need real advice from people who know what they're talking about!
Q. Ugh! I'm in such a mess right now. I have no health insurance and was initially told over the phone that I probably didn't qualify for Medicaid (husband's income too high). So, I worked out a payment plan w/my OBGYN where I was supposed to give her around $360 a month for prenatal care and delivery (this would not include hospital charges). But after a couple visits my husband and I saw there was no way we could keep up with the payments, so we decided to give Medicaid another shot. We went down to the office and this time I was able to qualify. However, now my doctor is saying that she will not accept Medicaid (even though she's on the list in the book as a preferred provider) and that I have to honor the agreement I made with her.… [cont.]

A. It depends on the terms of the agreement that you signed when you entered the payment plan. However, a doctor can not charge sue you for services not rendered. You may want to contact medicaid directly and tell them of your issue. Your doctor might have a change of heart if she knew her federal/state funds might be in jeopardy by refusing to accept medicaid after she has signed a provider contract to do so. I know this is stressful, but this is a time where you should be taking care of yourself and your unborn child. Get you care from a new provider. You can not be forced to go to a certain doctor and I personally would not feel comfortable with a doctor who treats me in the manner that you say you have been treated.

Why do people from OTHER STATES keep moving to California?
Q. Okay I posted this already but some hater reported it to the community and had my question removed. Which a load of fudge . Where is the freedom of speech ? Okay so my question its crucial to me since I am a native california and I have been seeing loads of license plates from New York, Mass.,IL,Florida,Michigan ,Idaho(whom are hypocrits because they really hate Californians and are moving to here?!) Oregon,Arizona,Texas and the list goes on. Personally I dont have anything against the East coast people moving here. It is mostly the Midwest, they are racist and rude to outsiders and minorities. And with California being the highest unemployed in the country how do people manage to come here? It is overpopulated.

Anyway, I would love to live in California, given the opportunity, great weather, lots to do, beautiful scenery. I know it's got it's problems (but we got them too here in New England) I know people in other states don't like Californians, because they think you are crowding them out or something. As for us New Englanders , Californians don't bother us. We get people from everywhere, California included. You might not like it here (hell, I don't like it here) as it is very cold and snowy with a lot of really bad drivers, but you are certainly welcome to come. I don't know why people are coming to CA now with the bad economy, maybe… [cont.]

What are 3 causes for why the american people reacted to natalie maines comment?
Q. The Dixie Chicks lead vocalist, Natalie Maines made a comment towards America's President Bush stating "I am ashamed that Bush is from Texas" which led a huge uproar among americans. Can you list 3 plausible causes why the americans reacted the way they did? The only one I can think of is that Americans had a huge sense of pride during the time since the comment was made a year after 9/11 occured.
Asked by Fall S - Mon Sep 8 12:48:05 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments
A. First, she was on foreign soil. Second, who the hell is she? Nobody. Third, her job is to entertain, that's what the fans paid for, not her political view. Amercians overall are fed up with celebrities injecting themselves into politics where most of the time, they have no real knowledge of what they are talking about and they don't deal with the same struggles most Americans do.

Q. I mean best in terms of manners, politeness, courtesy, etc. My list: 1. TEXAS baby!!! My crib, my heritage, my people. Except for Dallas/Plano/Terrell, people that move to Texas remark on its friendliess. 2. Louisiana: just stay away from those nuts in New Orleans that re-elected Ray Nagin, and it's wonderful! 3. Oklahoma: dry weather, but colorful and interesting people. 4. Mississippi: true, down-to-earth, live Southern hospitality as portrayed in books and stories. 5. Alabama: much like Miss. 6. Tennessee: except for the State Troopers, what an incredible state! Basically, the area from El Paso eastward and south of (and NOT including) Missouri and Kentucky is awesome. No offense, but Florida and California are jokes! Sorry.

A. The victory of San Jacinto ended that war simply because the Mexican leader, General Santa Anna, was captured and became quite willing to grant independence to Texas in exchange for his life. All of these other questions are too involved to answer here. We would have to write many pages. Just a suggestion - you could separate these questions and people would answer them piecemeal. This seems overwhelming all together. Battle of San Jacinto, fought on April 21, 1836 lasted only about 20 minutes and ended by 5 PM, so it was not fought at night. Colonel James Fannin and ~ 400 men died in fighting near Goliad. After surrendering, over 300 surviving, unarmed Texans were massacred by Mexican soldiers - - the morning of Palm Sunday, March 27,… [cont.]

Q. Explain the provisions of the Decree of April 6. How and where did the Texas Revolution begin? What did Travis's famous letter say? Why did Sam Houston retreat before the battle at San Jacinto? What happened with James Fannin's division? What treaty ends the revolution? Describe the events at San Jacinto, when they took place, how long the battle lasted, and who the main people were. Put the battles of the revolution in order and include their dates. What do Davy Crockett, William B. Travis, James Fannin, and James Bowie all have in common? The governments obtain their power to govern from the people is an idea stated in what important document? In what year did Mexico win it's independence from Spain? List these in the correct sequence:… [cont.]

Should I move back home in order to try to find a g/f and a wife?
Q. I sincerely hope that I am not getting on anyone's nerves by asking what probably seem stupid and meaningless questions, but I am truly lost and am trying to find my way in this life. As I've said numerous times on this site before, I moved to Colorado after getting out of the Marines because Intel Corp was hiring manufacturing personnel and I needed a job. For some reason, I keep getting rejected by women here in this town. I think that it is mainly due to two reasons. Reason #1 is the fact that I am at least 1/16 if not 1/8 Cherokee and it shows in my facial features. I also have slightly eyes which is a genetic trait that native Americans retain from being descended from Asians. My mother's grandmother on her mother's side of the… [cont.]

What is the law on fair credit reporting and statues of limitations in Texas on debt collection?
Q. I recently gotten a debt collection notice for $2500 on an account I have no distinct memory of, from over 6 years ago. The debt collector stated they bought the debt from citibank, citibank says they bought it from "verizon credit card", but cant give me a number to call "verizon credit card" to try and figure out what is going on. Now, from 1999-2001 I cleared and settled all my credit card accounts one by one, and I saved all my correspondence on these issues, but all of that was lost because they were stored in New Orleans at my father's house. So basically I have these people trying to collect a debt I have no record of, whose latest action is from 2001, and they have suddenly listed this on my credit report, as if it was a new debt,… [cont.]

Political Polls: Who do they ask, and how can I asked?
Q. I am aware of the fact that I live in Texas, and that political polling, at least concerning my state, is very unnecessary being as we are red to the core. However, there is a myriad of national polls out there - the president's approval rating, presidential candidate's standings, and things like that. Where are these numbers coming from? Random phone calls? Is there actually a list of people that they ask? I want to be on that list. How does this all work and how can I be a part of it?

A. Joe, No, sorry. no way you can volunteer to be polled. The best and most scientific polls are conducted by professional pollsters. They use either in-person polling, or telephone polling. The networks and newspapers also use "exit-polling" on election day, to ask voters coming OUT of the polling places questions, and get a feeling for how the people are feeling, and who they are voting for. Almost no responsible polling company just uses "random" telephone polls anymore. No telling who they are calling, or who is answering the phone. Most big cities now have a huge number of people who don't even list their telephone number in the phone books anymore. Either they don't want any salesmen, or random callers to bother them; or, they now… [cont.]

Q. Hi, My name is Lauren Archer, my son Kevin and I lived in Sugarland, TX. On October 2cd, 1994 I took my only son to McDonald's for his 3rd birthday. After he finished lunch, I allowed him to play in the ball pit. When he started whining later on, I asked him what was wrong, he pointed to the back of his pull-up and simply said "Mommy, it hurts." But I couldn't find anything wrong with him at that time. I bathed him when we got home, and it was at that point when I found a welt on his left buttock. Upon investigating, it seemed as if there was something like a splinter under the welt. I made an appointment to have it taken out the next day, but soon he started vomiting and shaking, then his eyes rolled back into his head. From there, we… [cont.]
